Saints Peter & Paul School partners with the National School Lunch Program to ensure that all students receive daily nutritional lunches, via payment or the free and reduced method.
Families who qualify for free or reduced lunches can submit their applications via Direct Certification or (hard copy forms that are attached below). Direct Certification and all forms are updated during the summer for parents to submit.
We encourage families to take advantage of this process so that all means for the child/ren can be met.

Saints Peter & Paul students have the option of eating a healthy school lunch each day, ordering off the lunch menu or bringing a packed lunch.
In either choosing from the school lunch menu or bringing in a packed lunch please keep in mind the following:
Offer versus Serve (OVS) is a provision in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) that allows students to decline some of the food offered. The goals of OVS are to reduce food waste in the school meals programs while permitting students to decline foods they do not intend to eat.
Students must choose at least 3 of 5 components available for the school lunch. Meat or meat alternate, choice of vegetable, choice of fruit, grain/bread and choice of milk. (1% White Fat Free, Chocolate, Fat Free White) A minimum of 1/2 cup serving of fruit or a minimum of 1/2 cup vegetable.
Weekly Vegetable Subgroups
Weekly vegetable subgroups may include: dark green (spinach, broccoli, romaine, spring salad), red/orange (carrots, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, red peppers), beans/peas (legumes), and starchy (white potatoes, corn, peas, lima beans). Other vegetables will include celery sticks, cucumbers, cauliflower, green peppers, green beans, cabbage.
Daily Fruit Selections
Daily fruit selections may include: oranges, apples, bananas, grapes, pears, peaches, cantaloupe, melon, applesauce, pineapple, and mandarin oranges.
